Phones are useful for learning — and full of interruptions. StudyLumen is the middle ground between repeating reminders and taking the phone away: clear, supervisor-controlled study routines that keep useful tools available.
What StudyLumen is
StudyLumen is a pair of apps. StudyLumen Parent runs on the supervisor's phone; StudyLumen Child runs on the supervised Android device. They pair by QR code, and the supervisor creates routines — Homework Mode, Bedtime Mode, Exam Focus, Weekend Balance — that block distracting apps and websites while learning tools, calling, and maps stay available. The supervised user never needs an account, and can request temporary access whenever a block gets in the way.
Study-first, not surveillance
StudyLumen exists to protect study time, bedtime, and focus — not to expose the supervised user's life. There's no activity feed and no screen-time dashboard: it doesn't upload messages, browsing history, or notification content, ships no advertising SDK, and never sells personal information. We can't leak or sell what we never collect.
On-device by design
Blocking and website filtering run locally on the supervised device. Rules are signed and verified before they apply, and enforcement keeps working offline.
Support, not solo willpower
Focus is easier with someone in your corner than alone against an app built to be hard to put down. Routines apply automatically, and instead of fighting the urge solo, the supervised user asks a real person for access — the supervisor approves or denies in a tap. Support and accountability, not a daily battle of willpower.
